A Pimsleur Kind of Day
Knocking around New York with Dr. P.
Today I did tons of Pimsleur errands. I walked all over Manhattan with my giant headsets on, learning Arabic everywhere I went.
I learned Arabic as I walked through Central Park, twice, back and forth to a doctor’s appointment on the East Side. I learned Arabic on my way to set up an account at a new dry cleaners, where they won’t yell at us like they do at our existing one. I learned Arabic on my way to Super Runners Shop. I learned Arabic while cooking a late lunch/early dinner for Brandt and me.
At one point while I was walking around, I ran out of Arabic lessons on my Creative Zen device, so I did a Russian lesson that was left on there. I was very happy to discover that I still remembered a lot.
Later in the day, I fell asleep doing Pimsleur lesson 16. I didn’t know I had fallen asleep until I noticed I was being asked to translate things I hadn’t yet learned.
Pimsleur is phenomenally relaxing. Every stressed-out person should try it.

I love Pimsleur! I learned Portuguese from Pimsleur - working on Arabic now :)
