A Website Renovation, with a New Directory of Reviews
I have consolidated my opinions on language-learning resources in a searchable database.
Dear Readers,
I am still working on Chinese, and my silence on the subject is not in any way an indicator of indifference to the marvels of the language. The time I would usually allocate to blog-writing has, however, of late been allocated instead to a major overhaul of this website. Today marks the launch of the updated site.
Besides an aesthetic renovation, the biggest change is the introduction of a directory of reviews—of language-learning books, audio lessons, multimedia products, flashcards, language websites, related cultural organizations, language events, kids’ resources, and some New York City neighborhoods where you can practice your skills (my apologies to non-residents for the geographical parochialism). I have posted an introductory essay to the directory here.
I will be adding to the collection of reviews as I learn about and try new products. In the meantime, I hope you will find it helpful!
Sincerely,
Ellen

You’ve done a wonderful job with your review section. I’ve just spent a pleasant forty-five minutes perusing it.
