Italian Speakers Everywhere

I am starting to think that my building is filled with people who surreptitiously speak Italian. I had no idea how many of our neighbors were fluent in it. Every week I find a new one.

Today I learned that one of our neighbors on our floor speaks both Spanish and Italian. So I spoke to her in Italian on an elevator ride down to the lobby.

She was friendly. Maybe I’ll invite her over for tea.
