L’Ultimo Giorno (The Last Day)

I study for my Italian exams tomorrow.

Shortly after midnight tonight, I finished my Italian studies. I did hours of review today—at home, at Café Margot, and then at home again, with particular attention to the various verb tenses. The last two weeks have in some ways not been all that great for my Italian learning. I did quite a bit of grammar, but I got absolutely no oral practice, and I am now far, far away from my 90 Pimsleur lessons. But my review day was a good one.

This evening Brandt and I went by our neighbor Julian’s place. There was a friend of his there I hadn’t met before, Tabitha, who like Julian is Italian-American. She spoke to me briefly in Italian.

That was my oral review, I guess!

I am sad to leave Italian, but not that sad; I feel it is time. If I weren’t doing this project, I would keep going, but I have an agenda, and Korean is next!
