More Addiction Troubles

I have been hanging out on the Facebook Polyglots page way too much lately. That, combined with this adorable little blue Speak Georgian book, which was given to me for my birthday, has been causing me some serious linguistic crazies.

Here Are Some Georgian Adjectives

I solved one of my problems by turning off my Facebook alerts this weekend—but look how cute this phrasebook is! I love pocket-size books!

Also, isn’t the Georgian writing unbelievable? (See the far right column above.) I had no idea. Now I am extremely curious. 

The first row in that picture shows the Georgian word for “blonde” (transliterated as kera), and in the second, shavgvremani is the transliteration for “brunette.” 

Getting this book, which was written by  by Khatuna Gelashvili, made me want to study about 20 more languages. I am thinking Farsi, Swedish, Swahili, Latin, Finnish, Thai, etc. I am way too revved up.
