Skyping Experiment in English as a Second Language
I want to test out online teaching techniques for ESL. A few good volunteers needed.
Greetings, dear readers!
Last night I gave a presentation about this project at the Brooklyn Public Library. The event was great fun, and I will post video excerpts as soon as possible.

At dinner afterwards, one of the attendees, a native Polish speaker, made a comment that I loved. “English is unkempt,” she said.
Isn’t that a beautiful statement? And so true.
I am at present investigating some online training options for ESL (English as a Second Language). Although I teach for a living, I have not in the past offered online seminars. I would like to change that.
Therefore, I am collecting a few students to try things out with over the next few weeks. The medium for this experiment will be Skype, though I expect I will ultimately end up using a different platform.
If you would like to volunteer to be a guinea pig (unfortunate term, that one!) for some ESL training, please contact me and let me know what your English learning needs are. I am offering the training for free for the next two or three weeks—so no charge, if we can manage the scheduling and our interests coincide. Beginners to advanced students welcome. Don’t be shy!
