The tagline for Atlantico Books is “Brazil and Portugal Delivered.” I have never met the owner, Elena Como, but she has been pleasant and responsive in my e-mail communications with her, and she is clearly very passionate about Portuguese.

Atlantico is not a physical store, but rather, a web-based book business. Through its website, the company sells language-learning materials for both Brazilian and European Portuguese, as well as books of all types for native and fluent Portuguese speakers. In January 2013, I noticed Portuguese translations of the Fifty Shades of Grey series on the site!

I like browsing at bookstores so I can look before I buy, and I haven’t taken advantage of their services, but if you like your shopping remote, and in Portuguese, try them out!
