On the far right of the Hindi Language Meetup page, you can type in your zip code to see whether there are any groups in your area dedicated to Hindi-related meetings and events. 

In March 2013, for example, a search on Hindi Meetups in my area yielded information the NYC Indian Meetup Group, with more than 2,300 members. The group is “for expatriate Indians and all others who are interested in India and Indian culture.” Members go to Indian movies as well as music and dance performances, and they participate in Indian cultural events.

If you are bent on practicing your language skills, you should be aware that some Meetup groups are more language-focused than others. In addition, India has many languages and is of course packed with English speakers, which further complicates the language picture.

It is naturally easier to find Hindi in some parts of the world than in others. As of this writing, I see that Oklahoma City (as one example) does not have a Hindi Meetup group (an opportunity to start one?!), but there are plenty of such groups globally, so it’s worth checking!
