Le Petit Sénégal, or Little Senegal, is a Central Harlem neighborhood concentrated around 116th Street, from roughly Frederick Douglas Avenue on the west to Lenox Avenue/Malcom X Boulevard on the east.

On a search for French there, I roamed up and down 116th a bit, and could see snippets of French on signs and in product names. I also exchanged a few French words with a couple of people.

Not everyone was happy to speak French, as described in a blog entry from that excursion!
