This non-profit publisher at the University of Rochester is dedicated to fixing a persistent imbalance: writing in English gets translated and shipped all over the world, but only three percent of the books published in the U.S. are works in translation.

That is shocking. There are many reasons to try to address that—including the risk of cultural insularity and cultural complacency—and this small publisher does its part through its dedication to works in translation.

It currently publishes 12 books a year and also runs an online literary website called Three Percent.
