The idea of a book on Spanish pronouns is appealing, because English speakers have much to learn regarding how this part of speech operates in Spanish.

Unfortunately, Practice Makes Perfect: Spanish Pronouns Up Close by Eric Vogt does not do the job as well as it might have. The writing is at times abstract, verbose, and hard to follow, and seems to focus excessively on pedagogical challenges the writer might have encountered with past students, in a way that isn’t illuminating to the present user of his book.

The exercise design is frequently tedious and, in terms of time spent relative to learning achieved, inefficient.

Practice Makes Perfect: Spanish Pronouns Up Close includes content and practice with vosotros, the informal second-person plural used in Spain.
