SparkNotes French Vocabulary Study Cards

5 French, Flashcards, Vocabulary

March 10, 2013

Series  SparkNotes Study Cards
Publisher  Spark Publishing
Publication Date  2003
Price  Varies, because out of print
Skill Level  Beginner, Intermediate

These are great. Blue on one side, white on the other, clear print, sturdy, and a good choice of words. Plus inexpensive. Or at least they used to be.

Unfortunately, between the time I began this review and the time it went live, I learned that this product is no longer being supported by its publisher, SparkNotes. As of this writing, you can still sometimes find the cards on sites such as Amazon.com, BN.com, Alibris, and eBay, but you will need to be persistent, as their scarcity is sometimes jacking up what was originally a $9.95 price to ridiculous levels. Seriously—I’ve seen them for $160 or more.

A willingness to consider buying secondhand (which I personally am not keen on for flashcards) would help.

Hi Ellen,
I was looking for these flashcards online and found out that Sparknotes is releasing a newer edition of most of their language study cards.  I found out through amazon.com
