Okay, so right up front, I will confess, yes, I wrote this Syntaxis grammar quiz, and yes, I am shamelessly putting it in my own language directory of reviews with a five-star rating.

I happen to be very fond of it!

Here’s how it works. Each time you take the quiz, you are given 10 multiple-choice questions on a variety of grammar issues in English: punctuation, subject-verb agreement, pronoun forms, sentence structure, etc.

When you score your quiz, you can read explanations for all the questions, and if you get a good score, there are…ta-da!…animated fireworks. (You would not believe how long it took to set those up.)

The quiz draws on a larger pool of 40 questions, so each time you take the quiz, you will get a new version with different questions.
