Washington Heights, Manhattan

4 Spanish, Neighborhoods

March 10, 2013

Spanish is everywhere in Washington Heights. Located in the northern end of Manhattan, the neighborhood has 155th Street as its southern border and Dyckman Street as its northern.

The Hispanic Society of America is at Audubon Terrace at 155th Street. Walking north along Broadway from there will take you through blocks and blocks of Spanish, heard in conversations and seen on the fronts of restaurants, groceries, health-food stores, gas stations, pharmacies, hardware stores, boutiques, and more.
