The Comprehensive Yiddish-English Dictionary is apparently a big deal in the world of Yiddish studies and considered very authoritative. In my primitive state a few days into my Yiddish studies, I can’t even begin to judge, but should my status change enough to use this one, I will revise this review to reflect somewhat more sophisticated views.
In the meantime, I can tell you that the dictionary includes more than 37,000 entries compiled by a team of Yiddish experts. It runs only from Yiddish to English, not English to Yiddish, which will not work for some users.
