This is an independent website for language-learning enthusiasts, whose author is the language-loving François Micheloud of Lake Geneva, Switzerland.

Some parts of the site could benefit from updates, but the forum here is rich with posts and very active indeed.

In addition, there is much useful information about different languages, with commentary on factors such as grammar, spelling, economic importance, inherent difficulties, and—this one I got a real kick out of—“chic factor.”
