This independent bookstore is a fantastic place to visit for a variety of book needs. The foreign-language section is not huge, but it is there.

When I inquired about the source of their non-English books, an employee told me they stock new (meaning new to them) books all the time, buying them from people who bring in their libraries. He said the good stuff goes fast.

I’m giving Strand a 5 because it is a wonderful store generally and deserves it, but keep in mind that its focus is not foreign languages.
