Teach Yourself Italian Verbs is a compact reference book consisting of verb tables: 200 different pages with 200 different verbs.

Each page displays all the forms for a given verb, provides helpful examples of Italian usage, and lists various etymologically related forms.

I like it, but I just don’t really use verb tables that much.

Instead, when I’m studying, I am relying on whatever grammar book I’m working on, and I’m not carrying around a verb-table book. Verb-table books mostly end up sitting on the shelf collecting dust.

I guess if I were composing a lot in Italian it might come in handy.

Addendum: Teach Yourself Italian Verbs is now out of print, but as of spring 2013, I still see inexpensive copies for sale online. Alternatively, a new version with a new author, Theresa Oliver, appears to have been published under the title Essential Italian Verbs: A Teach Yourself Guide. I haven’t had it in my hands, so I can’t vouch for it, but I see online that the table of contents is virtually identical.
